Now that Boris has left, and many in the British government are lining up to fill the power vacuum, the UK, normally a symbol of European stability looks like a rudderless ship. Meanwhile, over in the US Joe Biden's gentlemanly, elder statesman style of leadership looks awkward, and outdated in today's deeply divided America, who seems to crave a nimbler, and more forceful presence in the Whitehouse.

Neither country could be considered in crisis mode at this point, but I predict some pretty unhappy citizens for the next few years.

@Beowulf
No, the wrong person got kicked out early.
The latest hearing with witnesses that cannot be attacked as second hand liars are showing just how bat shyte nuts Trump really was and is and how frigging close we came to losing out democracy and why he refused to act till 3 hours later, he was and is the head snake for absolute sure, his Oath boys and Proud boys was and IS his private army and they WOULD have started firing their AR15's and hand grenades and Molotov cocktails which BTW were actually found by the FBI and that bit about " get rid of those mags'' was in fact true, Trump DID say, they are not there to hurt ME but it was ok for them to storm the capitol with weapons.
Trump is very close to having enough evidence against him to have a solid case for insurrection.

The UK isn’t “in disarray” and there isn’t a “power vacuum”.
There is a normal parliamentary process going on which has happened dozens of times before.

If the UK has no Prime Minister, there is a power vacuum. People in the British government are not jockeying for the PM job because they're bored and have nothing else to do this summer. Please remove you head from the onion patch.

Clearly you have no idea how the UK parliamentary system processes policy into legislative action.

He hasn't left, he's told them he's leaving.

Do you see the difference?

Disarray is a bit strong, it’s a period of transition and the news is definitely to be avoided for the next couple of months, but we have the same supply chain and inflation issues as the rest of the world plus the Boris thing.

It’s fair to say that the Conservative Party are in a state of some disarray.

It’s probably fair to say that any party that has its front and centre types jostling to be lead dog will look a bit chaotic.
If they do not choose someone who can, at least to some extent, bring the disparate blocs together in September they will stumble into the next election and probably lose their majority.
