Venice is sinking into the ocean. Sea level rise is NOT the problem, but it is predictably being blamed for it.

Whenever GW alarmists blame sea level rise for a city or island losing land look for another reason and you will find it. Sea levels are simply not rising at an alarming rate.

One man.
Not even a climatologist?
A man whose mission is to warn UN about rising sea-levels!
What do you expect?

@metal-brain saidSimply means you have 2 contributing factors instead of one.

Why was he on Amanpour if he is not qualified?
In fact, why are you asking that question at all?

@wolfgang59 saidBecause it seems like the only people allowed on TV are people who are not qualified to give an opinion. The experts refuse to parrot such nonsense, so the media resorts to ignorant people to mislead instead.

Amanpour seems to invite propagandists to her program. She had Daria Kaleniuk, the executive director of the Anti-Corruption Action Center on today. She called Ukraine election interference a conspiracy theory which is a lie. Two people were convicted of it and one of them was from another anti-corruption institution.
If something in the Ukraine says anti-corruption it is probably corrupt. Shokin was investigating the the Anti-Corruption Action Center for corruption. George Kent wrote a letter saying not to investigate the Anti-Corruption Action Center for embezzlement and that they didn't care what the money was used for. Kent didn't want to know where the money went and said so.
Guess who funded the Anti-Corruption Action Center. George Soros and the US government. It is obviously a money laundering scheme. The only unanswered question is where did the money go. Since the US government was not interested in investigating it the US government is surely behind it and Biden knows where it went for sure.
Of course, there is no evidence corruption prosecutions accelerated after Shokin was fired. The nearly 2 billion is still missing after all these years.

Your OP seemed to suggest that there was a consensus claiming that the
recent Venetian floods were caused by Global Warming. That is not the case.

Not true. I never mentioned consensus.
Why has this fringe myth gained enough acceptance to get on Amanpour? Are PBS idiots?

@metal-brain saidYou didn't mention "consensus" and I did not say that you did.
Not true. I never mentioned consensus.
You used the phrase "it is predictably being blamed for it" ... without mentioning any individuals, that suggests you are claiming some consensus or group. If not
what were you claiming? What was the point of your opening post?
.

@wolfgang59 saidAlarmists predictably spread baseless myths. They blame GW on hurricanes even thought there is evidence hurricanes are more frequent in a cooler climate. Moreover, the deadliest hurricane on record was during the little ice age in 1780.

The myths start first, then that propaganda helps create a consensus influenced by falsehoods. It worked with hurricanes and forest fires and GW has nothing to do with those.

are directly caused by Global Warming then you'll have someone to argue with.
If you want to talk about 18th century hurricanes start a new thread.
@metal-brain saidShokin is/was corrupt. His investigating the the Anti-Corruption Action Center for corruption is like Trump investigating ANYone for corruption. The fox is guarding the henhouse.
