@metal-brain saidNo one really posited the idea that Wagner had actually switched no one was that stupid
The WG did not switch sides.
Yevgeny Prigozhin said they would return to the front lines in Ukraine after they take out the military leaders in Russia. ATY created an inaccurate title to this thread.
Prigozhin was railing against the incompetence of the high command and questioning the reasons for the invasion. Until the invasion Wagner was making a good living extending Russian influence in Africa by supporting regimes and getting mineral rights in return. But since the 22 invasion he’s seen his men killed in large numbers for no real gains, he thinks the invasion was self destructive for Russia but he’s a patriotic Russian as well as a criminal sociopath.
Now Putin has had to forgive him unordered to prevent a destructive Russian on Russian blood letting

@sonhouse saidUS intelligence officials knew well in advance that Wagner head Yevgeny Prigozhin was planning to mount an armed rebellion against the Russian military's top commanders.
@Metal-Brain
Leave it up to you to blame the US. If figures Comrade.
Congressional leaders were even briefed days prior to Saturday's events, after US intelligence reportedly observed the mercenary firm mustering forces and amassing weapons in preparation for possibly making a move against the defense ministry.

Is it really so hard to believe US intelligence knew of the tensions and took advantage of it?

Why should anybody believe your biased opinion piece?
Your attack the source methods are pathetic. That is what everybody on here does when they fail to prove anything wrong from the source. To avoid addressing facts, they attack the source in a desperate attempt to avoid inconvenient facts.
You are weak. You cower in the face of indisputable facts.

What’s the point of debating X, if X is made up garbage from a debunked fetid pool of misinformation?

Attacking the source is what you do to avoid proving it.....because you are incapable of it. MORON!

From the link below:
"The Times explains the rationale of its intel sources as follows:
U.S. officials felt that if they said anything, Mr. Putin could accuse them of orchestrating a coup. And they clearly had little interest in helping Mr. Putin avoid a major, embarrassing fracturing of his support."
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/us-intelligence-knew-days-advance-wagner-rebellion-briefed-congress
So the US says nothing in hopes Russians will kill each other so the Russians think they didn't orchestrating a coup? Incredibly stupid! So revealing they knew in advance after they kill each other instead of before they kill each other is supposed to convince Russia they didn't orchestrating a coup?
Even a retarded child can see that makes absolutely no sense at all. My government cannot even lie without exposing how dishonest they are. Are you retarded enough to buy that crap?
