Actually that's a fair point, but I did summarize some of it on page 6 of this thread:

In it, the author points out the extreme paucity of historical references to Jesus: he mentions the ones already sited and two others but points out that there were dozens of other histories written (one by a Jewish contemporary of Jesus, if Jesus exist ...[text shortened]... ut these are some of the major ones so I thought they'd be good places to start. Fair enough?
That article is interesting. I skimmed it and it's enough to make me doubt the existence of Jesus.

No worries.

cheers

Had a quick read of the article either and found this quote by Pope Leo interesting so followed up on it.

from the site.

"In fact, Pope Leo X, privy to the truth because of his high rank, made this curious declaration, "What profit has not that fable of Christ brought us!"15 (Emphasis added.) As Wheless says, "The proofs of my indictment are marvellously easy."

This seems indeed not to be an actual quote by the Pope, seems it was taken from a play by a protestant (anti-catholic) in the 16th century. A quick search on google seemed to suffice. Anyway, a whole page dedicated to this quote.
