Vintage video games are not worth too much nowadays. I've seen Atari 7200s for sale with about five games at around $20 NZ. Sega Master Systems and Mega Drives all rake in the same amount, strangely. The only console still waiting to join the $20 club is the Sega Saturn and perhaps the Sega 32X. In a couple of years, the $20 club will become the $15 club, and Nintendo 64 and probably the Dreamcast will be the new leaders of the $20 club.
There's just no nett gain with video games.

Same solution...

You don't need to play games on the bus, you will more tha likely do something you weren't meant to when the bus goes over a pothole. You don't need dual screens, because on is enough.
you can plug your psp into your pc and play online!
I ama Nintendo loyalist, but don't support handheld consoles. Screw them. Wait until you get home, and do all your homework before you play games.

on a pc you need to buy lots of stuf to have a good time
talk headphones
web cam
etc etc and stuff
You need a good PC to play the latest games, whereas buying a game for X-Box or PS2 is guaranteed to run just fine. Retail price difference between games? Almost nothing. Retail price difference between hardware? Heaps.
Best to leave games to the console, and computers to working out pi to the 10,000,000,000,000,000th decimal place.
