If you listen very, very carefully, you can sorta hear the free-market right-wingers of America coming to the uncomfortable realization that they have really, really backed the wrong horse in the global warming debate. A few months back Jonah Goldberg wrote a column which basically went "Uh, maybe global warming is occurring, but doing anything about it will cost us too much money." Until now they've been trying to make this argument - "global warming is a lie!" so that they won't have to make that one. But they can't get away with that for much longer.
