#1...There are safeguards in place in most states for situation such as this. According to the Ohio DA this child would have qualified for an abortion in Ohio. The childs mother says the accused rapist is innocent. If the accused rapist is found guilty (anyone see dna results yet?) the maximum punishment he will be deported. A lot about that case doesn't add up.
Yo ...[text shortened]... aving an abortion can have severe mental effects later in life.
I now await your answers

@mott-the-hoople saidIt's pathetic that someone would think that in a country founded on Natural Rights of the individual and limited government power that the State could legitimately make a "lifestyle" illegal.
never said I wanted to...but just so you understand the system, yes, the people can make your lifestyle illegal
No such power was ever granted to any government here.
@mott-the-hoople saidOh, the irony.
you really think you can just say anything, doesnt matter if it is true or not.
@no1marauder saidyou continually display your ignorance of the how thd US system works.

hint…nothing about abortion or being queer is in the constitution.
it was full grown men that founded this country, not a bunch of wimpy eunuchs
@mott-the-hoople saidI feel no need to continue to school you about these matters; you are profoundly willfully ignorant about the Founder's political philosophy and of the limits on State power.

Your "State Legislatures can do anything!" philosophy is anti-textual as well - you don't seem to have read the 14th Amendment at all.
@jj-adams saidThey have made things better for the invader aliens, who I guess qualify as common men. All the while ignoring the homeless, who also qualify as common man.
I'd say what they have done since Biden took office pretty much disproves that claim.
How exactly have they made things better for the common man?
@no1marauder saidStart a thread on this. I thought the constitution left a whole bunch of stuff to the states. Like, legislating their own abortion rules? After all, you fellers contend that abortion is covered by the constitution . I should not have to get a headache from this foolishness as I start my day.l!

@mott-the-hoople saidLibs dont answer
waiting on you kev…are you such a coward that you renege on your promise to answer
@suzianne saidIs this an answer? There should be a class on reading between the lines in posts.
Are you an idiot??
No one is actually FOR those things. Women deserve more respect than you give them. That's why men need to STFU about abortion.
@kevcvs57 saidAnother not-answer, and, he calls your very simple premises "Hypothetical"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahah Just pitiful. These libs must have a secret website where they prepare their comments for the day..;.;not unlike their president's tutors. And note how he, like Sonhouse, still rail on about rape and incest victims, when we have repeatedly said we would ourselves do those abortions. Kevin57, no one is forcing anything of a sort. Yet another disingenuous lib post.
Hypotheticals but I will answer as best a i can with the codicil that it’s not really any of my business once you’ve answered a couple of real world questions
1) do you think a 10yr old rape victim should be forced to carry a foetus to term after 6 weeks with all the implications that has for her physical and mental health?
2) do you think the health / life of the woman should come before the foetus?
Pitiful, kevcvs57. I can see why the other Kevin does not want to be confused with your empty gibberish. Stay on him, Mott!
@averagejoe1 saidThe Constitution set up a Federal government to replace the previous weaker one.

It did not, and was never intended to, specifically spell out all rights the People possess and possessed whether the Constitution was ever written or ratified or not.
Those rights the Founders said were "inalienable": they cannot be taken away.
@mott-the-hoople saidHey 💩 for Brains I have a life out here and I’m quite a few time zones away from 18th century Alabama
I will ask you, just so you can be on record.
#1…are you for aborting at 9 months?
#2…are you for starving the child after birth?
1) I can’t imagine any competent health practitioner advising a patient to do this unless there were severe physical risks to the woman or very little chance of the foetus surviving the birthing process.
But yes in the final analysis I don’t care how far along the pregnancy is if abortion is deemed in the best interests of the woman then I’m ok with that.
2) No I wouldn’t agree with letting a postnatal baby starve to death because the woman did not want or could manage motherhood, I think you’ll find in that scenario the hospital would contact the state initially and later adoption services would be involved
Have you got linkable examples of ether scenario? Or are they right wing crypto fascist evangelical propaganda.
