@Cliff-Mashburn saidBetter than the puppy killer.
They claimed there was no crisis. All of Trump's border policies were cancelled by Biden when he took office, then Biden/Harris and the oily little bald guy in charge of Homeland Security stated repeatedly to the media and to congress that the border was secure.

hispanics do not farm, US farmers use them as cheap labor, a form of slavery.
And to, modern machinery is replcing menial hands on farming.
@mchill saidFact is, one might think that teenagers would naturally flock to agricultural jobs to make some extra cash, at least during the summer. Picking strawberries in California, say. But they don't. They'll gladly flip burgers, but working the fields? That is back-breaking work, often done under a hot sun. Immigrants will do it, but not high school kids. Nor will most any "natural born" US citizen. It's also itinerant work, so forget having a permanent address. It is work that naturally fits many an immigrant lifestyle.
If Trump and Co. succeed in all these mass deportations, who will replace them in the workplace?
Many are auto repair mechanics, plumbers, electricians, machinists, maintenance workers, agriculture workers, military enlistees, hotel workers, welders, dental hygienists, secretaries, janitors - and the list goes on. Will all these positions simply fill themselves? (the unem ...[text shortened]... go unfilled for an extended period of time?
Or have you MAGA folks have thought that far ahead?
So, throw out all the "illegal" immigrants, and now you've got a tremendous labor shortage. Food goes to rot, and prices at the supermarket skyrocket. The labor shortage might be remedied by increasing the pay, but the pay would probably have to be doubled or tripled to bring in enough people, and once again grocery prices shoot through the roof.
Trump and his merry band of fellow Christo-fascist statutory and/or adjudicated rapists have put themselves in a super-glued pickle jar. The rubes of 'Murica want an immigrant Kristallnacht, but they also want cheap meat. Can't have both, really. Boy, are they going to be disappointed.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidTo dump all immigrants, or all "brown people," into a single prejudicial bag is a clear sign of an extremely weak intellect.
Tell us again about how productive they are.

Dumbing it down for you: I'm saying you're an idiot.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidUS Census Bureau data. It even says so in the link that you clearly did not bother to look at. Most anyone living in a US household is included in the data, whether a naturalized citizen or not.
LOL so if they are unauthorized immigrants (illegals) HOW do they know they are "workers"?
They don't even know where they are living, let alone if they are working.
Funny thing is, even if we were to accept your premise that "we cannot know," we could turn your "logic" around and ask how you know there are millions of "illegal" immigrants living off welfare. If we can know the one, then surely we can know the other.

@Mott-The-Hoople saidExpect the need to expand it ten-fold. But remember, Trump says all "illegals" are going to be thrown out of the country. Never mind the logistical impossibility of this, just note there is no talk of bringing the bulk of the "illegals" back through the auspices of a work visa program.

@Mott-The-Hoople saidI don't see hate there, I see FACTS. Trump has ZERO idea how difficult AND extremely expensive it would be to cart off 15 million people, legal or not,
you are talking about things you know nothing about...just hate from you
It is a TRILLION dollar proposition for one, for another there is no way in hell to replace all those workers who, BTW, pay taxes, pay rent, buy food and such so are part of society and don't give me that POS crap they are stealing our jobs.
they do jobs you and the rest of your righwing friends would NEVER do doing dishes, laundry, mowing laws, cutting trees.
And there are business depending on that labor and BTW, they are not making 3 bucks an hour.
That and the fuuked up tariff Trump thinks punishes foreign companies, it punishes US by driving up prices probably MORE than that stupid 20% he wants to charge, like I said, a 20,000 car now costs 24,000 or more.
WE pay that fuuking tariff and between those to so called policies the economy will tank.
The national debt will push up towards FORTY trillion, our GNP will go down by TRILLIONS all because of the incompetence of Trump.
He never succeeded in ANYTHING he did last time he was POTUS. That 2 trillion dollar tax bribe he got in last time? Supposed to be companies will use that money to build new manufacturing plants here in the US but all they really did was use the money for stock buy backs which just drove up the value of the company and not a new plant ever built.
At least till Biden came around and with a LOT of work and talking to repubs, he made the infrastructure bill pass, he made the Chips bill pass, stuff Trump NEVER did get done.
Mark my words, within two years the economy we now have, pushing to THIRTY TRILLION DOLLARS a year will start to tank, I see it coming out as 25 Trillion, a loss of 4 Trillion, and national debt going up close to FORTY Trillion.
I guess you don't read so well. I will not play a one day timeout game. Why did you put up yet another one with the same time control?
We are moving and have been cleaning out room after room, pulling down boxes and such and I don't have time to come back every day for a game.
The stuff I type here doesn't take that long but I like to futz over a chess game to make good moves, unless I am doing one minute bullet on Lichess.
