You contend that the human rights situation in North Korea is no better or worse than that in China in 2012?

Human rights in North Korea are extremely difficult to fully assess because of the secretive and closed nature of the country. The North Korean government makes it very difficult for foreigners to enter the country and strictly monitors their activities when they do

A better economy can help prevent instability that contributes to human rights abuses as well, so it would not surprise me if NK was worse, but who can really tell? Maybe if the USA had the same trade policies with NK as China the people of NK would be much better off. Why the double standard?

So why do you keep insinuating/suggesting that they are no worse than China?
Don't you live in Indonesia?

I'm not suggesting Indonesia is worse than China, but in the past there was a horrible death count.

Like I said in a previous post, bad leaders are a dime a dozen in this world.
Why single out the Kim dynasty?
That being said the USA would prefer NOBODY had our nuclear technology but that's impossible.

Originally posted by Metal BrainI am not engaging in a double standard. I simply asked you in what ways you think individuals, groups, organizations or nations seeking to bring about political change in North Korea should go about it? From what I can glean from your scattergun posts is that you don't think anybody should do anything, that you question whether there has been a shortage of food or famine there, and that me living in Indonesia somehow has something to do with it. Understood. No double standard on my part.
