For the record, Andre was hanged as a spy, not shot. A firing squad was considered a more honorable death and reserved for soldiers and as Andre had been captured disguised in an American uniform, he was treated as a spy.

In fact, several of the uniformed Nazis convicted at Nuremberg of war crimes and crimes against humanity requested that they be shot, not hung. Field Marshall Jodl in particular was appalled to be hung "like a common thief" in his words. His and Goering's and Keitel's requests were denied and they were hung like the other criminals.

Yeah, they were probably (illegally) tapping his phone and monitoring his internet usage, and now they want to restrict his [consitutionally protected] right to free speach.
