has anyone seen the latest craze in the UK at the mo. it entails beating someone up and filming it on your mobile phone. recently in the town where i live a guy was set on fire at a bus stop while the yobbos filmed it on their phones..they could be heared laughing and getting a right buzz off it..In the past week a young girl has been beaten unconscious while others stood and filmed it on their mobile.
Because they really should be out there with night sticks beating the tar out of these people before putting them in jail.

One idea being tried is 'Curfew Zones',althought this seems to have upset the organisation Liberty whose aim is to 'Protect Cival Liberties'.
Liberty is acting for "W", a 15 year-old young man from Richmond (protected by an anonymity order), in a test-case challenge to one of the cornerstones of the Prime Minister's existing "anti-yob" laws - child curfew zones. In these zones, any unaccompanied under-sixteen year old is liable to arrest and forced escort home after 9pm, whether or not they are suspected of bad behaviour. www.liberty-human-rights.org.uk/press/2005/curfew-challenge.shtml

I also believe it's the parents that should be enforcing these cerfews not government. It's time parents took back control and stop taking the easy way out by allowing government to be the bad guy. Parents are so afraid of their own kids these days that they dare not stand up to them for fear of teenage rage. We have become too lax in our attitudes on teens and give them way to much power than they are able to handle.
A teenager is still growing and learning just as an infant is. Just because they appear to be physically grown does not mean they're mentally grown.
I feel we are failing our kids by not providing more stucture and envoking more boundaries. This is not preparing them for adulthood.
This is an abandonment of responsibility. It's a sad reflection on society when we need government to intervene where parents are failing.

If your 15 year old had gone round to a friensds to watch a football game, that finshed at 9.30pm he should be allowed to walk home alnoe!
What is the world coming to. Treat kids like criminals and they will be behave like criminals.
Why is everything a "culture" all of a sudden?
There seems to be a "culture" of yobbism, of alcoholism, of urination in the streets, of racism, of ignorance...
It's a striking misuse of language in an age when many people are giving up on the real culture they might have had.
Culture /= vomiting outside the chipshop after watching a Celebrity Porn Island omnibus episode down the local...
...not even if painted in red figure on a Grecian urn.

It's not the child being treated as a criminal, it's the protection of my child from criminals. This is what I like to call parenting.😏
Our teenagers today are brought up to belive they have the same rights and privileges as adults. This is not so.
As a teenager you have the obligation to persue an education. This is your job. It's a full time job. Anything else outside of this is a privilege and should be treated as such.
