No seriously, there's this pill, and you take it... and it makes you into a whiny nit-picking callous bitter ex-smoker in no time. I hear it's very successful. It's called zyban or something. Ask your doctor.
Is that the pill with that stupid ad on TV where the dude goes to gym and then lights up when he leaves. Then he takes this 'wonder' product to help him to stop smoking and then later he takes a bite out of an apple after gym?

Man I hate that ad.

It's like they think smokers are stupid or something... just because we poison ourselves all day. Hah. They won't fool me.

Send me a pack of smokes and I will stick a couple of them in my sweaty ass crack prior to returning them to the box and sending them back to you. While I see this as a public service, please include a check, payable in US funds, for $1.50 per pack and $5.50 for a carton.

Zyban? That pill worked for my friend who was the heaviest smoker I knew at the time. It worked, that is, until he relapsed. 🙄

The patch worked really good for me . I was off totally for 3 weeks (no cheat smokes or patches) . Then we went to her class reunion and to visit a bunch of her family for the first time ....... That big splash you heard three weeks ago was me falling off the wagon .

Well I'm going to the Oppikoppi music festival in a month.

I will be consuming copious amounts of alcohol, possibly some illegal substances, with some good friends and great music.

I'm going to have to light up, just to celebrate the event.
But after that, I'm finished with those little cancer resevoirs, really...

How do you become an addict?

I smoke, but occasionaly. I smoke 1 i get this big darn headache! 2 cigs after eachother i feel that i want to throw up! smoking 1 at different timings is ok.. Friends told me that hash is even worse! No way, hash is amazing, way different than cigs, i don't really feel the headache or stomach ache, i feel the unconsciousness 😵..

How do i become a cigarette addict? I Smoke, but i feel dizzy after 1 cigy, i'm pretty weak

Well done Mr.Crowley keep it up! make it 48 hours 🙂

you become an addict by doing it. despite propaganda, nothing is addictive with one try (if there are substances out there for which this isn't true, please correct me). but you try it, you like it, you do it again. over time the frequency of use increases until you can't imagine living without whatever it is that you're addicted to. i started smoking cigarettes socially, only with friends, drinking at bars, but i liked it, so i bought a pack, smoked occasionally on my own off and on for a long time before i realized i'd been smoking every day non-stop for about 7 years. it happens gradually, then you're there.

Quitting cigarettes is SO WORTH IT!!! Good for you. there's a book that helped me called Quitting Smoking The Easy Way written by a chain smoker who quit cold turkey. the trick is to free yourself. for me, it helped not to think of it as "quitting" because "quitting" has negative connotations. no one wants to be a "quitter". rather, consider what you're gaining- breath, life, energy, money, freedom from the need to smoke. if you can get past the first week, you're cool. just keep in mind: don't smoke. think of all the reasons you smoked cigarettes in the past- all the triggers that made you light up- those are the times you'll have to fight the hardest. after meals, break time, waiting at bus stops...

consider also, the cigarette buzz. it's not that cool. spin around in a circle while staring at the ground and you get the same effect. and remember- not only does the buzz suck, but if you smoke all the time, then you don't even get the buzz, just a momentary sense of relief, like you've been walking around in too tight shoes and are allowed to take them off for 5 min every half hour.

cigarettes cause nicotine addiction. cigarettes are packaged for addiction. and part of your own brain wants that stuff, so it will snuggle up to you and try to convince you it's okay. "it's been 3 days, or a week, you did it. now you can control it. why not celebrate with a cigarette?" every time you feed it, it gets stronger. the nicotine beast has to be starved and stomped. fight it. it's worth it. the first time you walk up a flight of stairs without huffing and puffing is just around the corner.

and don't be jealous of others you see smoking. they're not enjoying something you can no longer enjoy. they are enslaved. when you see them smoking, remember it's never just one cigarette. it's another and another and another and another until you make the wise decision to cut it off. you will be challenged in your weakest moments. i wrote alot here because i feel very strongly about this issue. nicotine is far more dangerous than people think. i tried quitting so many many times... then i just did, while working in mexico in an office where Everyone else smoked. you can do it. fight hard.
