@kevin-eleven saidBecame a vegetarian.
Just for the sake of comparing notes. I know I can't take much credit for having occurred or for how I have turned out so far, although of course I might have had a few choices along the way.
By then I had lived in a few small towns in southern Michigan, going west to east, from the Chicago area to I-75.
Met my first boy-love (it wouldn't have worked out) just befo ...[text shortened]... e to Detroit).
Of course, by the age of 14 in 1974 I thought I would be a science-fiction writer.
35 years on, still love the smell of bacon.

At 12 girls were the last thing on my mind, although in our group of friends there were a few, more like pals. I didn’t really get “interested” in them till I was around 14-15. I remember, at about 11, wondering what “the big deal” was with kissing, so a male friend and I decided to try it. We both decided that it was disgusting and why would anyone want to do it. As I said it took a while for me to try with a girl. I can honestly say it was totally different.👍

I bow to your liberty in this matter Stees 😉
@divegeester saidI have always been an “experimenter”. I tried it, wasn’t impressed till I “tried it” with a girl.

@great-big-stees saidI have a bi curious Dutch friend, she had never been to a gay bar or kissed a girl but was interested and obviously found them attractive. We’re going back about 8 years, she came to visit me in Belfast and wanted to go to a gay bar so of course we go. I was the one ending up doing a bit of experimenting and kissed a guy, he had a beard and it was quite gross but sure, when in Rome.

@trev33 saidI was taught to try things. Like, “Here try this liver”. “Yuck I hate liver”. “How do you know, you’ve never had it”.
