@avalanchethecat saidThe "share" link on your stats page puts the last game in your clipboard, and when I pasted it in here, that's what I got. I think it's the last game anyways. The paste shows the game number, and how many tries you got it in (X/6) along with the grid, without the words, so you can post it to FB or wherever without making it a spoiler.
Also got it in 3. How do you do that with the coloured squares 'n all?
@suzianne saidShouldn't you have put this in the posers and puzzles Forum?

It's a word game, kinda like Mastermind, only using actual real five-letter words.
Guess the word, and it shows 1) incorrect letters, 2) correct letters in place, and 3) correct letters out of place. You get 6 tries to guess the word. There's a new word each day and you can only play once a day, and it keeps track of your stats ...[text shortened]... f you just want to be a jerk.) People love to compare how many tries they used to get today's word.
It seems to be catching on. People don't have enough chess games obviously. 🙂

@mwmiller saidI've noticed that it is literally any five-letter word.
@Suzianne
Same here, but it took me about six hours of overheating my brain! I'm glad it limits you to one word a day. Anyway, thanks for providing the link in your original post.
One day it was a linking verb and another day it was a pronoun. So not just nouns and such.
@suzianne saidi won my very first puzzle

You know what Rusty? No one's going to die over it.
My strategy is simple. Put in at least 2 vowels and two popular letters (r,s,t,l,n is the first tier, then d,b,m,f and c). If the first try is close, I'll go for it on the second line. Otherwise, I'll try a totally different set of 5 popular letters with 4 vowels between them. By the end of the second line, you'll have enough for a good guess on line 3 and line 4 should be cake.
Example: I might start with "steal" If all those miss, a good second word might be "round" With those 10 letters, you're almost guaranteed to have enough hits to guess on the third line. If not, then at least you know which common letters are missing.
I can only recall once that my third line was just more letter fishing and not a guess.
