I have one piece of advice for you, given to me by my long dead father. It does as well for cyberspace as any other space. Never argue with idiots (cyberspace has more than its fair share of idiots). They will drag you down to their level and then beat you on experience.
Or it could be, they weren't quite the IDIOTS you had at first thought. So, if you look around and you don't see any idiots. Guess what.....? 😛 😉

I should have argued with them? Probably safer not to argue with anyone.

There is no arguing on RHP...It is called friendly banter...Ok, sometimes not so friendly banter, but never arguing. 😉

Usually you 'make a call' before the outcome is known.

Your 'told you so' is worthless... almost as worthless as the original questions and follow up questions in this thread.

P-
You know me, and I pretty much get along with most people. I give people crap for fun. Basically I think most people are ok, with the exception of a few.

I could have called that one or many others without having read any of the posts.
Predictability in action, Bob makes a thread, certain people give him crap.
It's the machine of the GF Phil. I am doing nothing more than an attempt to grease the wheels.
One of the driven gears seems to have a spur missing. 😛 JK 😉

I disagree Tim.

I have seen the term spam misused here so often. I highly doubt anyone here can define those terms, in their own words, without using any help such as wiki or google or a dictionary.

Spam is when a person makes repeated threads, emails, PMs without any real or original content. To say threads in this forum are spam is incorrect, outside of the spam attacks we had a few months ago, we're spam free.

Forum postings which have content, but you think are basically mindless are called drivel. Name one poster that hasn't typed out some drivel, and then I'll be impressed.

I just am myself online. People love me or hate me as they choose. Either way is fine by me.

you have no chance of either. try somewhere else. oh, but you have already haven't you? and this is the only place you didn't get closed down immediately.

btw, not pooping all over a forum for a couple of years is a good way to be accepted. well, live and learn huh?

Yes, and constantly posing drivel is spam, isn't it?

Interesting fatherly advice, Diophantus... however 'arguing' isn't what's fueling this conversation.
