Just surprised by the Wikipedia results, is all. Also bored to tears, but that's a different story...

Biggest city? Tokyo! 35.2 million in the metropolitan area.

Second biggest? Mexico City at 19.4 million in the metropolitan area, just narrowly beating out the third biggest...

New York! With a little bit of Newark, NJ mixed in. 18.7 million. Also the largest "urban agglomeration" in the United States.

Incidentally, the three largest cities in the US are New York, Los Angeles (12.3 million) and then Chicago of all places (8.8 million). I thought for sure it would be Dallas or Houston, but they only have populations in the 4 millions. Longhorn state, my arse...

Of course, the largest city in Canada is Toronto, with a paltry 5.3 million (no. 46 on the list). Incidentally, the entire population of Canada is only 33.0 million, 2.2 million less than the city of Tokyo. I'm going to remember that next time I gripe about lineups.

Anyone have anything inane to add? There's no shortage of that on this forum, that's for sure.

Too artsy. I was looking for something like "giraffes are the tallest land animal, ranging from 4.8 to 5.5 metres in height with the tallest reaching 5.87 metres!". You know, the kind of thing that seems like a good bit of trivia to break the ice with until you actually attempt to do just that, at which point you instantly look like a prick.

Draw a picture to show what a chair would like if your knees only bent the other way.

After Marcel Dionne, Adam Oates has the most NHL career points without winning a Stanley Cup.

Peter Pocklington's father has his named XXX'd out on the Cup after it was discovered Peter wrote his father's name down as a joke for the list of names that gets engraved onto the cup after Edmonton won the Cup.

There are 14 punctuation marks in modern English. Who can name them without running to wiki?
