@hakima saidMy memory of Xmas day was that it was often very quiet, but if something did kick off it tended to be serious. Fingers crossed for everybody on call. Makes retirement feel a guilty pleasure in itself.
I’m on-call for 7 straight days, with Christmas Day in the middle...I won’t ask for no calls, because that’s not going to happen...I’ll ask for wisdom and insight to do my job well...
And I’m giving myself a pre-Christmas get-a-way to a room with a fireplace on an island this weekend.
7 days is really harsh, we usually shared the Bank Holidays out between everybody on the rota, 24 hour stint each, is that normal in US?

@drewnogal saidi will be happy with a nice christmas dinner, no family coming up (covid) so just me & my lovely wife, last year she was in hospital with a clot on her lung the year before I was getting over a H/A so I will be gratefull for a relativly healthy christmas.
I’ll get a box of chocolates and will be very happy with that. I don’t need anything more than I already have, apart from a little bolthole near a costal path or a windswept moorland where I can escape for breaks with my dog.
@cheesemaster saidYou're obviously some one who had issues with me under a previous alias.
Probably VR
It's a love hate kinda thing I imagine π€
Why poke a sleeping bear, I hadn't said a word don't involve me.

This is the year to give in to rampant commercialism and buy a new shirt. I'm a big kid, but I couldn't resist the one with the League Champions patches on. π
