Why do some players put up open invites, then delete the games when their challenge is accepted? Maybe if they are SO concerned about their rating they should make the game unrated in the first place

This happens quite often to me too! But, they delete the games with me because my rating is too low :'(! You people (that delete the open invite games with me) have serious issues πŸ˜‰!

If someone takes an invite, moves once then does not move for hours I tend to get bored and delete the game to find someone who wants to play a game there and then - I hate drawn out openings, don't mind in the endgame as we all need time to think. If I accept an open invite I will always try and play at least 5 moves or so to get a feel for the game or the opponent.

Why don't you give the game a name then?Something like 'please,4-5 consecutive moves'.

I do generally! I do not think people read this or at least take it in at a conscious level. If tou put up a game saying only players over 1350 for example at least half the time someone with a 1200 rating will accept the challenge. I generally put "regular movers only please".

I am also annoyed by people who put up an open invite which is accpeted quickly. Then do not move for over 24 hours, I am at the point now that I delete games that go inactive in this manner.

So,if I would lie to play one of you,but don't have time right then and there, and I accept and leave, you'll delete the game?πŸ˜•
That seems a bit harsh, doesn't it:'(

I think I'm having a similar problem in my game with Gizeh. It said '1300 or below' I accepted it when I was 1200+.Now he isn't moving anymore.Though he isn't moving in any games, maybe there's another problemπŸ™

If you said hello and told me then no

I think the person in the wrong is the one who accepted the open invite, an invite that expressed a condition on the terms of play.

Look if you create a game and are not prepared to play, why dreate the game πŸ˜• I have created games and logged off for the night or a sginificant part of the day. However I never create an open invite game then dissappear for several days. I am not going to be around I do not create anbother game until I come back.

Yes,I agree.I would not create one, that's not what I said. What I said was if I see an open invite of someone I'd like to play but don't have time at that exact moment,I might take the invite and leave after one or two moves,or even no moves at all.I don't see the problem. If you really want to play, just post another invite. We'll start our game when I get back. What's the harm?😲

i accepted to many open invites from newbies who dissappeared. I said 24 hours a couple of posts ago that is harsh i usually give 3 -4 days then it is disappearing not taking a break.

Was it someone you knew? Do you think they had a grudge against you or something? That's a pretty low thing to do!
