I deleted them. Because I wanted to play chess and the Open Invites were flooded by over 30 silly challenges. All "Set Piece" but all at the original position. I believe this was a ridiculous attempt to win MAP of the month but to make sure he couldn't lose any rating points. The Open Invite page is for all members to start games and is not to be hijacked by people who are on an ego trip. If he grows up and practices very hard then one day he can play me. Meanwhile maybe Russ should do a code trick to prevent anyone from starting more than say 5 Open Invites per day

there is nothing in the rules that says set peice games for MotM are cheating, and noone had protested to me about it. granted there is nothing in the rules about taking peoples games and deleting them, it does show your own immaturity in taking action that wasn't not of a sportsmanly nature. are you sating that people can start as many games as they want as long as they're rated? at present, there is a maximum of 10 at a time, and if i remeber correctly, there were 2 other games apart from mine in the open invites section. if you had a complaint, contact chris or russ, but you don't need to delete all my games. me doing what i did did not harm anyone or anything. it did not put any strain on the server that would not be put on it anyway due to MotM, and i was not on an ego trip. whatever way i lok at it, i still fail to see why you deleted those games.

Wasn't it because they were all set piece games from the starting position so if you lost it didn't count to your totals?

Yes,well,I would not leave it hanging for 3-4 days,I would make my move the next day.If I couldn't make it the next day I wouldn't take on the challenge.To me that's just common courtesy😏

Genius: I don't remember the thread but someone said something like 'What's going on with all these set pieces...blah blah'. I think they said 'I don't like it' too, but can't remember for sure. 🙂

Sometimes certain people just aren't on RHP at the same time. I made an open invite the other night and it wasn't accepted until something like 9:00 GMT the next day, which was 4:00 GMT for me, so all our moves are out of phase and we only make one a day 🙁

it's the thread entitled "Genius???" (http://www.redhotpawn.com/board/showthread.php?id=5079) and it wasn't the set peices that he was complaining about, it was the fact that he though i was saying i was going to resign after the first move, but i meant after the 1st of the next month...😛 so noone complained...
