Peanut butter delight

2 cups of peanut butter, preferably extra super crunchy
1/2 cup of maple syrup
Bread

Put the peanut butter and the maple syrup in a single recipient and with a fork or spoon mix until fully blended and soft. Then place the result on top of a bread or even make a sandwich.

For better results, you can add a crushed butterfinger on top of the mix, before making the sandwich. You can also enjoy this simple, yet precious delight directly with the spoon.

Warning: do not mix with beer. Dr. Pepper is better.

Good lip, smacking possibilities with the mix to put in whole grain bread or toast. Hold the butterfinger, please. Slices of granny smith apples would marry well with the sweetness of maple and peanut butter. Tart and sweet. 🙂

Spot on! Or banana slices as well!

There's another one I do sometimes, which is cutting apples in half, then making a small hole in lieu of the seeds (of course), place your favorite muesli inside, sparkle some cinamon, and maple syrup.

Then place in the oven at 150 for 5 or 10 minutes.

Highly recommended!

!

This is the best thread this site has seen in ages. I wish I had good recipes
to share, but I'm like the worst cook ever. I only follow recipes to the letter,
and there's plenty of them to be found for me to repeat them without
imagination.

Keep it up! 🙂

Bananas and peanut butter, some honey in a whole grain toast for a quick breakfast. Yes! Love your muesli stuffed baked apples. 🙂

I hear you. But here is one simple tip when you are eating anything. Eat slowly. Get to know the texture, flavors of the food. Imagine, because creativity is all based on our abilities to imagine using all our senses. Somewhat a guessing game. What is all in the food that we are eating? The more you practice eating slowly, the better you get in identifying food and flavors, and the better your chances of coming very close to duplicating, recreating food that someone else made who might not be very generous in sharing the recipe. 🙂

A quick meal for someone in a hurry. I made this one up years ago. Even my grandkids love it as a treat.

In a blender place 3/4 cup milk. Add a small banana, 1/3 peanut butter, and 1/2 teaspoon dry cocoa, or 2 T Ovaltine. I do not bother to measure any of this, so it varies. It is delicious and keeps you full for a long time.

Do you like cookies? I just made up a recipe this morning that is very easy. Take a box of devils food cake mix and dump it into a large bowl. Add 2 beaten eggs and 1/3 cup of oil. If the mix is still not getting entirely moist you can add a little moisture. I put in 2T of applesauce. Mix well with a spoon. Add some chocolate chips and broken walnut meats. Roll between your palms to make a small ball about walnut size. Lay a couple of inches apart on cookie sheets or pizza tins. There should be about 40 of them. Flatten with a small glass tumbler dipped in sugar. I used Ovaltine, and you could use dry cocoa powder. Bake at 375 degrees for about 7-10 minutes. They will look cracked on top but puffy. Cool about 5 minutes before transferring to a metal rack to cool. Enjoy with coffee or a glass of milk.

Yummy. A satisfying blender breakfast food for those who like oats and avocadoes -

Blend together 1 peeled and pitted ripe avocado, 1 peeled banana, 1/2 cup quick oats, honey to taste, and some milk.

I also use frozen berries to make smoothies. Add some yogurt , peeled banana, and honey. A couple tablespoons of ground flax or wheat germ. Blend away.

Sounds good. Using a cake mix is a fun, creative way to make cookies especially when you are low on flour in the pantry. Happens here sometimes.
