It's not believable that any of his friends hasn't access to Darvlay by e-mail or any other way. In that sense, some people may already know the reason, but found it better to not disclose it.
if push comes to shove, I'm sure he'll be fine with the ban though. he's never shed away from taking responsibility for his actions yet.
