Why would anyone thumb down a message of condolence?

It is possible if the next of kin are in another country or another part of the country that he could have found out first. I've found out about deaths before the next of kin because they lived in another province and were hard to get a hold of. It really does happen.

With todays instant delivery find it hard to believe a stranger would know before next of kin.
In uk police don't reveal name until next of kin are told and proper identificaton is done.
Only way lemon would know is if he murdered the person.

Even in these times people can be hard to reach, not everyone is on the internet. I know some older folks who don't even have a computer, and if they were traveling in another country would be hard to get a hold of.

We should be so lucky. I’m going with Sonhouse. I predict that he’ll manage to electrocute himself when he throws his Facebook computer into his pool.

Do they have phones in canada?
I have a brother-in-law who has never used a computer or a cell phone. So if he is away you can't contact him at all.
