I for one, will definitely be burning some bandwidth playing this. Anyone else here play the predecessors?
I friggin LOVED Diablo II and the Lord of Destruction expansion. That was basically my whole 3rd year at varsity...

Seriously though, the third instalment looks awesome!
Apparently, they've made some improvements to the randomisation in the game. Now it's not only the maps/levels and monsters that change every game, but the tasks/missions you have to do to advance the story line. So in one game you might of had to clear a room of monsters, but the next time round it could be find an item, fight a mini-boss, protect a trade caravan, etc...

The controversy now is how some people think Blizzard changed the artistic direction to be more WoW-like and not so "gloomy, doomy" like the two prior versions. Some die-hards are saying D3 is "too cartoony" now.

"Yep, it's a cow alright"
Originally posted by SuzianneI never played online either, but we had 7 regular players at my hostel and used the ancestral recall patch. It kicked sooo much ass to have every class represented in a group playing together.

I had a level 92 (if I remember correctly) Necromancer and a 70ish Paladin.
Most game developers will want to go the WoW route, as it's such a money spinner. As long as they stay true to the basics of D2 I don't really care.
They want to make money, not placate a few hard-core fans.

AW HELL YEAH!
😀 So many hours wasted away on D2LOD.
Wait? Only two character classes?
It's just that those two are the only ones Blizzard has previewed on their site so far.
At least I sure hope there's more than two classes... although the witch doctor looks pretty sweet.
