Yes, but you have to drink a lot of water. It's not something you need to worry about.

I really don't think the chlorine or floride levels are dangerous enough to warrant avoiding water or toothpaste for that matter. 🙂 You should look at your biggest priorities first, which for most people is exercise and being active before you worry about something so small.

water is for the fish!
Ah, but our bodies LOVE water. I always thought it odd that the same percentage of water in the body is equal to the same percentage of water on the earth, around 75%.

A note about the woman who died from the contest that a radio show promoted: 'Drinking as much water as possible w/o going to the bathroom'. Did you know that the radio announcer who came up with that idea was fired? Yes, and the radio station sued (still in the court system).

I'd just like to reinforce something that everyone needs to know. The body is very good at eliminating toxins and making repairs to your cells. Water is extremely important because your body uses it to remove the toxins. If you don't allow the process to work then the body get's sick. Also, if you put additional toxins in your body (drugs) then you need to drink even more water to eliminate them.

And finally, your body can't eliminate toxins if the water you drink has toxins in it also. Drink lots of purified water and pee often! 😵

For once (and I don't mean this as a dig at Arrakis) I agree with Arrakis. The secret to hangover cure is to remember two things: The first is that the reason you have a hangover is that you're dehydrated, and the second is that you should drink two litres of water a day. My way of dealing with is to know that one pint is slightly more than half a litre - if I drink four pints of water in a day, I've got my H2O for the day. If I've got a hangover, by the time I reach three litres (quarter of a litre at a time, fifteen minutes between quarter litres) I have not only cured my hangover, but also had my hydration for the day. Then I can proceed to drink myself stupid and lose a few chess games again...

Of course, I drink tap water.

How true! I haven't had a hangover in ages because I drink a litre before going to sleep if I fear I might have a hangover the next morning. The downside is obvioulsy having to get up to pee at 3 am.

Yeah, but the 3am pee just helps you remember to drink another quarter litre before going back to sleep. This hangover system is gold...

It's worth it though... when you go back to sleep you will fall into a very deep sleep, which is required for your body to make repairs. If a person doesn't get up and use the bathroom, but instead tries to just go back to sleep, the brain will keep waking them up and they won't be able to attain the deep sleep that is required.

BTW, since the body does it's repair work when a person is sleeping, I recommend that you take your vitamins 2 hours before going to bed, not in the morning as most people do. See the reasoning behind this is that your body needs certain minerals and antioxidants in order to remove the toxins. Take vitamins w/ minerals at night and if you have trouble sleeping then change the brand of vitamin you are taking. Some manufacturers put chemicals in their product as a 'pick-up' and you don't want that. I also suggest taking liquid vitamin suppliments instead of pills.
