This user User 344712 has played his 1400 rated buddy a few times. How many times can one play one's buddy and when is it considered padding?

I keep on playing this guy, and he keeps on beating me. Does this mean we're buddies now?
I could easily log in as another person and never be caught! It would be IMPOSSIBLE for the rhp staff to catch me. z00t knows this and understands how it could happen. Of course neither of us will pass this information along, but the point is that z00t is using statistical analysis to show that there is the possibility of enhancing your play by playing yourself. We should all thank him for his contribution instead of making fun of him.

also as easy as creating a new account for every opponent, so that it wouldn't be so easy to spot as 'buddies' throwing games. which gets you caught in about a nanosecond.
blow wind blow.
Originally posted by ArrakisSo because people can create multiple accounts and play themselves (a known problem, and something several people have been banned for), we should forbid friends or family members to play each other? That makes about as much sense as not allowing people to play too well because there are people who play well by using an engine, or banning people who don't play chess here from the forums even if their posts make the forums more worthwhile, because there are people who don't play chess here who use the forums to advertise their products or websites. Or throwing away all food I have in the fridge because the milk has turned sour.

No need to thanks me.

I'd trust whatever z00t says way over whatever comes out of your mouth.

zoot even threw some info about selective pairing and that had nothing at all to do with saying "don't play the same person over and over".
When people fight for a bad ideas, and bring stupid arguments to the table people will call them stupid. Do you really think zoot has a valid solution?
