why didn't you do it 12 years earlier? come on, the US is not interested particularly in knocking off bad guys (except now it has taken an interest because it took a hit on its home turf, and fears more to come). There are many, many regimes around the world that oppress and torture their citizens and abuse their human rights. What is the US doing about these? Or is evil only evil when it is perpetrated against the US? And the reason the US is paying attention to the UN now is that it realises it's going to be stuck for a very long very expensive time in Iraq.

Having said all that, i'm glad Saddam is no longer in power - better late than never...

Got that right.

I don't know why the US is so willy nilly. That is the part that drives us all nuts. You watch. Bush's poll numbers are going to tumble... because he went to the stupid UN like a lost kid looking for mama.

There are plenty of bad guys. Here's to making a start though. 😉 Hopefully.

It cost the Allies hundreds and hundreds of thousands of casualties and the Sowjet Union lost twenty million people in order to smoke Herr Hitler out of his "Führerbunker" in the middle of Berlin !!

Yes... The world "chose" to let him do it. Obviously. Ain't we a heroic bunch? We all hate war so badly that we chose not to kill him (Hitler)... even when it became evident that he was going to implement mass genecide. Ain't we a bunch of wonderful beings? Just brimming over with good intent? We let him do it. We are just such noble creatures. "No more War!" we shout. Too damned bad Mr. Hitler didn't listen to our good intent. Sadaam either, it would seem.

After he (Hitler) had published his intent in "Mein Kompf" (sp?) did not the world give him rein? Beginning in 1936 when he openly went against the League Of Nations... the UN of its' time... and began the massive rebuilding of PROSCRIBED WEAPONS SYSTEMS and military might ... as per the Versailles treaty ending WW1 , did not the world let him get away with it? Negotiated with him? Inspected Him? Just like Iraq? Was there any "guts" out there saying, "Stop! Or be destroyed.". No. Just like Iraq? Who stepped up and said, "No More, Adolph! One more airplane or battleship and we are going to bust your a**! " Nobody did. Just like todays UN as per Iraq and Sadaam.

If you choose to support Sadaam... knowing that his role model was Mr. Josef Stalin... Tell me why you like him so much. Though in your case Ivan... I don't really have to ask.

Crap. Had this written before i noticed it is to Ivan the Terrible.😞 Oh well. Sorry dyl.

You know Ivan... I should know better than to argue with you. My old grandpa taught me as a kid... he said... "Son. You can get into the pig pen in the muck. You can even fight the pig. You might even win the fight. But win or loose... you are going to stink like sh** when you crawl out of that pig pen." That's how i feel talking with you.
