"Favourite cheese"
Mine is of course English cheddar, preferably from Cheddar in Somerset. However there are some wonderful examples from all over the UK available in the supermarkets. I get very disappointed with soft cheese and even more so when a restaurant describes it cheeseboard as "as selection of fine English cheeses" and there is not a decent piece of cheddar in sight.
What type of "cheese" suits you?

Limburger is great with potatoes.
If all like to eat it: no problem.
I like the limburger spread, smeared onto a well-toasted english muffin, or any kind of toast really. Lots of butter as well.
That's probably a contributing factor to my triple bypass a few years ago!
Did I ever mention that I tried the "Alsace Pizza" flammekueche you suggested a few years ago during one of our games? I found a recipe for it and we gave it a try. Great! I'm not sure my wife liked it all that much, but I really enjoyed it!
But back to cheeses, sharp aged cheddar is very good, and swiss is another favorite, and also provolone. I guess I like them all, depending on what they are eaten with.....
Originally posted by mwmillerWe had this as fast food when I was young. You just cook the potatoes and peel them. Then you give a generous slice of Limburger and eat it with the still warm potatoes. A traet, sadly enough my wife doesn't like it....but my sons do 🙂

"No, no, no, no, yes, wait... oh, the cat's eaten it."
And cheddar?
"Not much call for it 'round here."
