The bible is totaly debateable, its contradicting in areas, it has been messed with and rewriten several times. The bible is giving one message and one only, and the flaws don't matter to a christian because it the message!

The only reason why the Debates forum was created was to keep religion and other flaming things away from other forums.
Now we have people that try to cathechize the site.
I wonder what kind of reaction would have users if it was a muslim to do this..............

Right now, there are 30 threads on page one of the general forum.
2 threads are on Bible Study
3 threads are making fun of Bible Study
3 threads are on moving the Bible threads/condemning the Bible threads.
It seems to me that more space is being taken up by the people who don't like the religion threads in the general forum than the actual religion threads.
Just some food for thought.

Our forums are a microcosm of the real world.
We have real people with real feelings and ideas.
In the real world, religious buildings abound, some
of which exhibit the most extraordinay architecture.
Do you complain that these buildings exist? Do you
re-route your drive to work to avoid passing churches
with messages posted in front of them?
Let's face it, if we can all get by in the real world
with all of the various things that we disagree with,
surely we can all survive perusing some silly online
discussion forums that contain some ideas that can
quickly be dismissed as nonsense.
I am all for religious discussions in any form. They
should not be singled out of the debates for the numerous
reasons that I have cited many times before. If we
can get along with televangelists on TV and churches
in our neighborhoods, surely the electronic equivalents
of these will not harm us.
