I don't think "Personally" it is really that high of a priority with the Admins, as the forum population, probably isn't really all that big, in comparison to the folks on here who actually play chess!

I do not think that GB is the cause of the general forum being as boring as it is. I do find his posts wearisome and I do not appreciate the constant "life advice." I used to read them and feel they were not very provoking, and a bit condescending, so I stopped reading them. His posts remind me of a man I used to work with who was mid-life age and was always preaching his own brand of enlightenment. I avoided him. I do not think you lack objectivity, teachability and courage because you disagree with someone and speak your mind. Some of us choose to be quiet, some loud. I have been attacked here on RHP, I didn't swear to never post again. I said ***** **** you, and then ignored them or blocked them. In "real life", I would have done the same thing, essentially.
I am not presumptuous enough to think that anyone on this site is interested in my life story, my morality, or my advice unless they ask a question of some sort. That's just me. I really don't like that stuff in forums.

I haven't been around that long, but I do recall it being more interesting last year and there being more subject matter. I could log on, read a few threads, have a good laugh, and head to bed. I hardly visit any more, it's a shame. I don't buy into the forum bullies thing either. I am quite sick of that conspiracy theory. What bugs me is self-victimization in the forums and the phony-baloney's who pretend to care about human beings when could give a crap. And it's so obvious. What's worse is they believe themselves. It's those idiots that post in forums that bring it on themselves. Perhaps it a little too generic in here at the moment. I hope it passes.
Nowadays, if I visit here I look for those folks I can count on for a laugh out loud or an intelligent, witty post but mostly I find that in the private forum.
I do miss Darvlay, though. :'(
