pretty much the same boat as me but with the positives... you can give blood to any other positive blood type but only receive for your follow o pos. just googled it... according to wiki there's 37% of americans with your blood type. 6.6% with mine... i'll swap you a negative for a positive? :p

do you?
blood people are coming around my way pretty soon, my blood's pretty rare so i always try to give when i can... was refused last time though, who knew they didn't accept it when you had been outside the 'western world' in the past 12 months?
picky little buggers.
Got over my fear of needles when I had to have daily injections for something for awhile. Then donated blood for years (A+) until they told me to stop. Apparently I don't bleed quickly enough, and I'd tie up a Blood Bank bed for 3 sessions while they only got half a standard serve. Said they'd take me anytime there was an urgent call specifically for A+ donors, but not otherwise.
My dad donated all his life, said it kept his problem (high blood pressure) under control without medication. Don't know if there's any truth in it.

she should've punched you back, knocked you out and taken extra blood... just for giggles 😛
lol i can't believe you did that.
I didn't exactly mean to punch her, I was worried so just let my reactions take control. I can't stand it when they jab it in your arm................urhhh, makes me feel queasy everytime.
One of a few donations I do is every 2 months; that is my blood.
I am A rH - (A rhesus negative) which I believe is very rare. I never ask, or follow up, as to has my blood been used. It's simply an hour of my time to go and lie down, often meditate, and take a relaxation hour for myself. Simple really. I get my hour and somebody hopefully gets some usage of my blood.
Unfortunately, in the last month, I have had to start medication myself for a few bone and arthritic issues. They won't accept my blood until the medication is stopped. I hope I have given something, in hope, to somebody over the last 8 years I have done this. Giving is forgiving!
