@ghost-of-a-duke saidIt is all primitive, but why do so many people watch?
I think of boxing as quite primitive (like bare knuckle fighting of old) but martial arts I would describe as more traditional than primitive.
But then, I only had two lessons.
We bare knuckle fought as kids even you must have had a few of those?

@lemondrop saidFor those who don't know:
Anderson Silva was the best that I ever saw
don't watch MMA anymore
Anderson Silva
Brazilian-American mixed martial artist
Anderson da Silva is a Brazilian-American mixed martial artist. He is a former UFC Middleweight Champion and holds the record for the longest title reign in UFC history at 2,457 days. This started in 2006 and ended in 2013 and included a UFC record 16 consecutive victories in that span. Wikipedia
I concur lemon perhaps one of the best of all time in his weight class!

@very-rusty saidOh, ye of little faith...
My dear stay away that is were the people who can really fight are!

@very-rusty saidThe Samurai class in Japan held honor above everything else. They were generally better-educated and more "evolved" than the riff-raff.
By the way all forms of Martial Arts are primitive just so you don't look silly next time.
@very-rusty saidDo you know Michelle Waterson? She uses karate, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This is what I use, mainly. Her wiki page puts her height/weight at 5'3" and 115 lbs. This is my height/weight.
Now you know what MMA is. π

You keep on about "not getting hurt", probably because in your mind, I'm just some naive little girl, or some rubbish. Please.
Almost all the time, I'm sporting a bruise or two somewhere, but this is because I spar with people who are better than me. You know what they say, that which doesn't kill you just makes you stronger.
@suzianne saidYour marshal art exploits are already the stuff of legend, but I’m curious about this resilience of carting a bruise or two with you everyday.

You seem like a tough person to be sparing with people who are better than you. You also seem to be calm under pressure when you are saving lives on the streets. Toughness, resilience, calmness. Admirable.
I suppose what I struggle with then, is why you get borderline hysterical in here with people like me over some forum banter.
There is an incongruence about it all.
@divegeester saidWe can open that up and ask people the last time they saw me get "borderline hysterical", as you put it.

I'll remind you that "forum banter" is hardly life and death, and so you'll forgive me if I grant myself some leeway here.
@suzianne saidI think your peculiarly off-topic and paranoid posting over the last few weeks, on the SF and here on the GF, has exibited a sometimes inexplicable level of aggression and scorn that simply isn't being matched [or even attempted] by anyone you are interacting with. This may be what's meant by "borderline hysterical"?
We can open that up and ask people the last time they saw me get "borderline hysterical", as you put it.
@suzianne saidI don't think that your posting being 'not a matter of life or death', or you giving yourself "leaway" about what you say to people, abolves your behaviour from being described as "borderline hysterical" at times. Some of what you say makes sense but a lot of it is kind of non-sequitur strewn or invokes things that you have simply made up.
I'll remind you that "forum banter" is hardly life and death, and so you'll forgive me if I grant myself some leeway here.
@suzianne saidWell as you’ve asked for an example I will give you a recent one where your thinking was clearly impacted by some sort of emotional malfunction...

- You have spent weeks and weeks accusing me of making stuff up about you, of telling lies about your claimed personal exploits. But then suddenly a couple of days ago you decided to reply to my bulleted post with a very lengthy expanded post explaining each of the bulleted points is made and completely justifying my points. In short it was rant by you which delivered a complete exoneration of what I had been saying and made your weeks and weeks of repeated tub-thumping accusations of lies look like utter hysteria and frankly look like complete dishonesty.
I asked you for an apology but one hasn’t been forthcoming.
But anyway, yes, at times when you are in victim mode, or attacking me for “eviscerating” you, or “destroying the website” or hastening “Grampy Bobby’s death” or whatever flame is burning your butt at the time... yes I think your posting borders on the hysterical at times.
@suzianne saidAnd yet it is when you were recently accusing my “banter” with Grampy Bobby as contributing to his demise. I mean, seriously, what a terrible thing to say.
I'll remind you that "forum banter" is hardly life and death,
But now it’s “not a matter of life and death”... interesting.
@divegeester saidDo you have a reading problem? Not comprehending posts that do not agree with you? Sounds like Rusty-itis. The post that went point by point was to refute your "points". No "exoneration", Mr. Trump. But then, these are the kinds of "lies" you tell. The only "dishonesty" here is from you.

I didn't "justify" any of your points. That's a remarkable bald-faced lie. I counted down your untrue claims about my claims, which are true. Apparently, in your rush to justify yourself, somehow you missed this.
And of course I'm "hysterical" to you. It's far easier to claim I have no point when I'm "hysterical". After all, [eyeroll] I'm only a woman [/eyeroll].
And I know this comes as a shock to you, but I am not apologizing for correcting your errors.
@fmf saidThis post, and the one before it, are why I find it difficult to take you seriously. Because of off target statements like these, you very often seem to be railing at me while you appear to be simply "taking the piss".

By the way, exactly what is "leaway"? You put it in quotes, after taking pains to misspell the word I used. One wonders why.
