Thanks, I treasure the support π
I hope my weakness for worldly pleasures is defeated by my will to
have a fulfilling life free of that delicious nicotine.
Exercise: Check.
Water: Check.
Focus: Check.
This morning woke up at 7.00 am and went to swim 2 kilometers
and then a 20 minute sauna session at 85 C. I felt like a champ,
but when I was out ...[text shortened]... reet the desire to smoke was too strong
to believe it.
I chewed 3 nicorettes in a row.

Hang tough! It's a lifelong battle for many folks. I've quit 3 times myself.π
Exercise has helped the most each time. Doesn't have to be overly strenuous, just consistent. Removing yourself from the situations where you used to always smoke can help also.
Good luck, don't get down on yourself for any momentary relapses, you are moving in the right direction.
What can I do to stop my trembling hands and my desire to killstart?
everybody around me? Should I start drinking heavily?
kill. everyone. now!
(good job, and don't start again even if you 'accidentally' smoke one or two at times.)

Which brings me to the question for everybody.
WHat's the difference between chewing gum and patches?
Originally posted by HandyAndyI'm holding my head up, taking a drag, breathing deeply, exhaling, tasting food the way it always tastes, delicious, flicking off some ash, and feeling negative about the world around me because I don't subscribe to your ridiculous nonsense. You are not merely giving something up.. you are adding new habits: holding your head up, breathing deeply, tasting food for the first time, feeling positive about the world around you. Don't just quit smoking.. add independence to your daily agenda. If you really want to escape from cigarettes, the cell door is open!

As I gleefully chomped, the rancid taste burned my throat, and I got the prepuke warm spit thing. Not to mention what I imagine to be the onset of a heart attack.

I vote for the patch.

Great link! Thanks!
I have to understand that I am an addict and I need help.
No more relapses! π

On the bright side, it keeps my mouth busy and that's fine.
Originally posted by SJ247I can smell my smoky cologne perfectly well. It's great. I couldn't give a damn what anyone thought.
He'll tell you that if you could smell, you'd experience the smoky reek others around you are sneering at.
Another good thing about smoking is in one of the societal ten commandments:
Thou shalt not smoke near childrens!
Puff the magic dragon
