it has not been proven at all how or that marlone is a cheat. he has only been accused without any evidence. i think it is improper to make accusations, but it shows the good character there is on this site when people like you two not only defend him, but don't let injustices pass!

unfortunately, it appears i am too late. everyone has made up. no more slings and arrows directed at chimps. oh well, that's a good thing - so to one and all a good night

Thanx pradtf. I couldn't wave the white flag anylonger.... and actually got out of bed about all this situation. Now it is off to rest and see if this goes someplace else... or becomes just a memory.... Either way I see what you said and understand why and am glad you have a bit of support... I don't have a big bro like Trekkie!

He doesnt come here to explain for 2 reasons.

1. he is (allegedly) on vacation

2. he has too many games going on to waste time in the forums. I dont blame him either.

I still do not see why having a lot of games is cheating. It is not helping his rating, only hurting it. It is helping hundreds of other people with their ratings via timeouts. Good for them. I still havent timed him out.

I am not here to defend cheaters. I just think he is innocent until proven guilty. Until you can offer more evidence to support your accusation, I think it would be decent of you to stop the slander.

First off, SVW, Yes, sure, everyone needs to be responsible for the games they start. And yes, there is a consequence if they fail to finish. Consequence being, you get timed out.

Marlone's rating dropped 700 points. He screwed up, and his rating shows it. That is the only consequence that a chess player can suffer on this site.

Well, that, and being accused of cheating. Which in Marlone's case, both happened.

Lyn, is Dave the original accuser, Montague?

If so, good for him, he retracted his unfounded allegations against Marlone56, and apologized. When are you going to retract yours?
