Wow! I think I was still drawing stick figures when I was eleven. 😀 No wonder you're proud.
Her father is very talented and his sister went to art school up here where they still use much of her work as examples in the art course at the college now. I have a few cousins that are now graphic designers and such too. So she had a good chance at inheriting some talent. But every since she was old enough to hold a crayon all she really ever does is spend hours upon hours drawing. Makes me kind of glad I never really gave her heck for drawing on the walls as a baby. 😛

My thoughts are that you make sure that she doesn't just focus on her artwork, I mean, spelling, grammar...
But you'd expect that from someone who is 11 now wouldn't you? Well, I don't know, you see my point though?

Managed to steal a few more from her collection 😛

She's much better in her school work where she has to take the time to do it right or lose marks.

She even has a series of her own characters that she works on....her story boards are very funny to read at times...but she mainly practices on known characters just to get the techniques down. She actually started of with learning and perfecting characters from Pokemon and is now more ino full metal alchemist. (or something like that) I guess Inyuasha and Nar ...[text shortened]... es the flaws in what she does. I'm really hoping to break her out of her shell a bit more.

Was just looking through some of the pictures my daughter drew and scanned into her "art" file on the PC. She constantly amazes me with the things she comes up with. She's a huge manga fan and has been drawing manga since she was 6 yrs old. Just in a feel like showing off kind of mom mood.

Your daughter dares to take on less conventional compositions for an 11 year old (very encouraging) 🙂. Like the kid on the skateboard. And the cool thing is, she has years and years of practice ahead to get everything just right and maybe make it her study and means of earning. 🙂
I try to stay on her good side 😉

I just punched him back then 😀.

Originally posted by Duke of BrabantLOL! That's pretty much what the little slugger does too. The thing is the younger one is very competitive and puts a lot of time into outdoing her older sister. She is certainly very talented in her own right...even if it's out of spite and not passion.

The younger one actually has more of a talent for the writing part. I think they may just grow into a very succesfull team one day. 🙂
