Thanks to all the people who posted friendly messages in this thread, especially Prad, Prophy, Kirk, Tommy, Nick, and Bob (apologies to anyone I missed out). Good luck in your games! π

i thankyou for having played me dave, i am more wary of the carokann knights now!

someone has sugested that Edmund is a grandmaster i do hope he is as playing against someone of that statue is only possible by use of red hot pawn
I'm proud of everyone who is on the top 20 list for their high ratings. I have played and chatted with most of them. They are all great people. Dave did a great job in first place for the time that he was there. He was more modest than I could think anyone else would be and he would play anyone...even if he won't admit it π.
Dave, you've been great. One of my absolute best friends here. The countless conversations and games have been great. Congratulations on everything. I'm proud to know you!
As for Edmond, I don't think I've played him π. It's possible that we did once and I just don't remember (because I used to play so many games that I didn't even keep track of who I was playing). If I have play him, I don't remember, but he does deserve everyone's respect.
Good luck Dave in the clan games. I'm sure it will be a fair match...
I'll be checking in on it everyone once in a while...
My best of wishes to everyone (and Happy New Year to everyone who I haven't already said to in a PM)!

I will see if I can get him to respond to this thread, I don't like the idea of people second guessing his identity and getting false hopes up. He is here to play chess, that is all he is interested in. He and only he should be the one who announces or gives clues to whom he is. If he wanted his real name or other screen name on the other site, he would have used them.
Thanks,
-Bob
We indeed have a new no1, and unless you have been hiding in a hole for sometime, you will know who it is. For David Tebb to remain site no1 for a year is truely brilliant and should be applauded. One thing ive noticed since I first came to this site is the competitiveness at all levels and how closely matched certain groups are, no more so than the leader board. The rest of us can only aspire to reach such heady heights!
Congratulations Edmond and to David, I offer a cyber handshake, well played. Keep up the great work guys!
