Alaskan Brown Bears are also called Kodiak Bears and are coastal grizzly bears? A Alaskan Brown Bear is not the same thing as a grizzly bear. It is a subspecies of a grizzly bear. Alaskan Brown Bears a larger then a grizzly bear.
