That fails to explain why you think your opinion regarding what is "offensive" should be binding on this site when you admit that others have a completely different opinion.
I have expressed my opinion on an issue. I see no reason to repeat myself. I expressed my opinion with the Admin, and they dealt with it, according to what they saw appropriate, what they considered appropriate action. They could have very well, explained to me, that they find nothing wrong with the avatar, according to the TOS.

he is impervious to both.
Originally posted by Elamef37for what it's worth, you seem quite reasonable. you two just aren't talking about the same thing. you're talking about your right to get upset about a picture of a black man in chains, which nobody denies, and he's talking about how your personal reasoning (at least so far) has nothing to do with whether the person with the avatar is guilty of racist behaviour. or that's at least about how I've understood you both.
You and I are two different people.
What you percieve is irrationality could be poles apart from what I deem irrational. No two people are alike.
and palynka is saying people like you wouldn't get hurt if people didn't insist on having 'problematic' avatars just because they're logically right about it. which is also about where I stand personally, although I can't not defend the logical side of it as well.

So as long as one solitary person doesn't find the content offensive no one else has a right to complain?
Although there are cases where it is pretty clear something is offensive...like calling someone a n-lover for example.
