Thank you anyway.

What makes it simple is this -

we put a man on the moon
chess computers can get players ratings of thousands
excel can compurte endless probabilities

and all I want is a simple fix to get windows to open in normal view, not little boxes.

Mate

I don't want stupid comments and advertisements for other sites.

MY QUESTION WAS VERY SIMPLE - if you cannot help with a SENSIBLE HELPFUL suggestion then please don't reply/respond.

I need help with Internet Explorer - NOT suggestions to go elsewhere

So yet again, I ask for a simple explanation as to how to fix my problem.

Grab your browser by the bar, and move it top left.

Grab the bottom right corner, and drag that over down right.

Phlab is exactly correct. What you need to do is reset the default window size for IE. You need to manually resize an IE window (NOT USING THE MAXIMIZE BUTTON). Just drag the frame to resize.

After you have done that; close the window. After that all new windows should open to that size by default. I haven't tested this, but that is the standard design for windows applications; so that should work.

you need to manually resize and move the window, don't use the maximize button. Then close the window to save that position/size as the default.

The blue bar... that will let you drag the whole box to line up top left.

Next, drag the bottom right corner down and right... that will make the browser take up full screen... I think that's what you want...

Heck, you whould just be able to drag each corner to the edges if you prefer not to move the browser window.

Stretch it to fit the screen, and it should open that way unless you change your settings somehow.

O'Kay

I think I know what you both mean, - BUT - it only seems to work for current exploring - not permanent.
IE - once everyhting is closed down and I start again - the problem persists.

any further ideas please
