What happened for you socially before the internet "lifeline"?
Actually I have remembered, I wrote to collage friends about once a month and now that we don't write, because there's facebook- we don't really keep incontact at all. I can see what they had for dinner- that kind of thing- but we don't really tell each other anything. That's a shame really, but then my letters were mostly about the kids growing up and maybe it wasn't so interesting for them with their careers. I don't know, I found reading about their growing businesses good, so maybe.
