Hehe, I wasn't a kid anymore. I was in my twenties, and had been working in Northern Ireland for three months, so the choice wasn't completely random.

Remember we have limited time to play, and only one clock (that we know of). People will be turning up periodically, so setting up a swiss tourney would be very difficult.
What time are you coming down ? we're meeting trev at the train station 12.15, are you coming from the same direction ?

You are quite right though without the clocks a swiss would be impossible. I think playing it by ear is the right plan. I mean this is a meet and greet of people I have been slagging for over two years and I am treating it like an ICU rating opportunity: how bloody anal am I??????
