I know you all probably would prefer to be asked this by other people, but Chris moved on to Oz, and so it's down to me 'n' Huck for the Ireland meet up.
Anyone interested in year three? Can we still come up with the funniest meet up pictures? We have some work to do, beating the pics of Demonseed all passed out and stuff. I even got my knee to be RHP famous by being the knee that carried the Rook in the last meet. (Community, Meetups, the last Ireland meet.)
Anyway Huck and myself have begun hankering for another meet up - all in Ireland, or anywhere else, are invited. I live in Cork city now - so we could extend to different areas, beyond Dublin. It depends on what you think.
Anyone interested in continuing the tradition? Anyone up for a few jars and a bit of chess? We'll sort out a new trophy, and some pics... sub, non-sub - no matter, I think I can say we'd both like this to go off in true Cadwah style.
Let me know if you're interested in showing up, and also if you can bring chess sets, clocks, etc. We'd like to repeat last year's tourney. Looking forward to seeing you lot again, despite my better judgement.

Good luck with the meet mate.
Originally posted by Jake EllisonAbsolutely no date, location, or anything else for that matter set yet - trying to get a feel for the interest first then the rest is open to discussion. We had a pretty good turnout last year - you can see some pics here: http://www.timeforchess.com/comhub/meetups/event.php?meetupid=10
Any idea of a date? I'd be interested if could make it over. Live in England at the moment...
Originally posted by huckleberryhoundI might be in Ireland in June.
I've sent feedback, and i expect to be sending out a PM to everyone flying the Ireland flag soon, canvassing for preffered date, and place.
I'll let yous know what happens.
Granted... not really enough information to base anything on... but you know... just felt left out and everything.
Originally posted by huckleberryhoundI hadn't got that far yet - I was planning to do it soonish, maybe. Actually I was hoping you'd jump in and help out (which means do everything.) 😀

Originally posted by huckleberryhoundSomehow, I don't think I'm going to get too much of a response to a Cork meet. Unless anyone is interested...? I'd be glad to have a Dublin meet and a Cork meet. I'll head up to Dublin either way. Anyone interested in a Cork meet, let me know.
If there's enouygh call for a cork meet too, it'll be you do cork, me do Dublin.....Sounds about right to me 🙂
Side note: Does anyone know where I can buy chess boards, clocks and such in Cork? I'd just be looking for your basic "roll up the board when you're done" stuff, and an "it works" clock...
Originally posted by st00p1dfac3They don't have clocks in Cork yet. They've only just got the wheel I thought.
