The ghettos of Kingston are the only place I'd recommend avoiding completely, but that should go without saying. That advice comes from my Mother who has spent considerable time doing missions work in many parts of Jamaica. She has been there repeatedly and says with great confidence that one need not worry about getting murdered, but to watch your wallet/purse at all times while in heavy traffic areas.

Happy travellin'!

No matter how clear your point, no matter how succinct your comment, no matter how infallible your logic, Shmammypants won't buy it. He's a self taught, home schooled shut-in. He makes the Magic 8-Ball seem like a reasonable debater.
Thank you.

Too many "bowcat"-ers needed to be taught the final lesson about disobeying the dancehall prophets 😕

dont' go off the reservation.

And when you check in and they ask you for your phone number, speak quietly because people stand near the check in desk and write down your name and phone number when you tell it to the check in person. Then they try and make collect calls by telling the operator it's their number. The operator calls your house and if anyone's home they'll likely say yes to the accepting the charges because the operator tells the person your name.

That happened to me when my parents went to Jamaica.
