The film, I thought it was horrible. I have yet to read the book, I didn't know it was better than the film. I may have to give it a read.

I just LOVE scene with old granny and bloddy tea. I believe Sicilian Smaug about the book but film has some nice music scores. I especially love that waltz in G-major interupted with tritone...

I've never been so revulsed by a film in all my life. I used to think horror movies were funny... this is a new breed of horror film.

Well, for one... the oriental girl having the side of her face blow-torched was a little gratuitous for my taste. In fact, the whole tenor of the film didn't seem to serve any other purpose than to glorify violence. If this is entertainment (which I equate with a pleasurable experience, ergo good) then something is very wrong. Of course, it could be that I just had an inimical reaction on the day.
