Edit: I'm no longer baffled by inconceivable "psychologies" now that I understand that the behavior has no psychology behind it -- what I see in the pseudo-sentients' phony culture is essentially the misbehavior of robots, programmed to perversity, vicious stupidity, and bad taste. They are also, however, incoherent, so that makes it a bit more perverse and confusing.
