Gee, where's Ragnorak; I expect all of you clowns to flock to disagree with whatever I say no matter how reasonable it is. If you don't want to be part of a team, don't join a clan; if you do join a clan you are responsible to finish your games to the best of your ability like you implicitly promised to do. that's so simple even someone of ...[text shortened]... else. Just trying to spread the wisdom I've acquired in my hundreds of years on Earth, Darvlay.
We all flock together when you try to get a teenager down? I guess the Snipes just like to prod drunks with sticks.
I have to ask you something 2Bit? Why all the rules that you have defined for both yourself and publically posted on numerous occassion. And why do you feel the need to berate people for letting their imaginary clan friends down? Or for this? Or for that?
You've stated numerous times that you don't take the internet shizit seriously, but it seems to me that you're the only 1 on this site that takes the forums on this chess site seriously. Why the hypocricy? Are you afraid that if you admitted that we are the only friends you have, that we'd no longer let you hang out?
I've given this advice once before, to Ivanhoe as it happens... turn of the pc, go outside (heck, bring the bottle), blink and squint for a few minutes while your eyes adjust to natural light, and meet some real friends. May I recommend Bingo to meet some like aged people.

Suck an egg. A) I don't PM people willy nilly; B) If he wants to post publically he's inviting public comment; and C) I already explained that my public berating of jerks who resign their clan games just cuz they FEEL like leaving the site is designed to have the salutary effect of discouraging the practice. Your defense of another teenager i ...[text shortened]... the site perhaps you should leave this one to the people with some competent experience, sport.

Indeed he did. After all that rubbish in the Challenge thread about promising to wipe the floor with me etc. etc. etc.
And my rating will drop again as a result of yet another moron who, after manipulating me into playing, abandons his games with only half the rating he started with.
yet another?
just took a peek at your graph, and i can't really see what you mean.
has this EVER happened to you before?
maybe in a former life?
your rating is unlikely to actually fall in any case, and it is impossible for your rating to drop when you win after you've completed 20 games, as i understand it - no matter how far your opponent's rating has dropped.
Originally posted by murrowI also took a peek, and as far as I can see, it has happened exactly once before. I understand that it is annoying (it happened to me in four consecutive games when my rating was still provisional, and it made winning much less fun), and I also understand it's even more annoying if the opponent's rating had just dropped several hundred points due to resigning all games. But as you say, it won't happen anymore once 20 games are completed. And Bowmann got plenty of offers from players with a pretty high rating, so I can't see why it should be a big problem.

that's just a player rated lower than him, not "yet another moron who, after manipulating me into playing, abandons his games with only half the rating he started with"!

Well, I've resigned some more games and am going to let the rest time out. Thanks to all for the good byes and hope to see you at some point again. Cya next year!
