@gambrel saidThe only people got bans were ones who gave out personal information through a P.M., not because of the P.M. itself, understand??? I don't believe you even have me on VR away, just an excuse not to have to answer me. I don't know what happened to you Ice Cold, did you grow feathers? You certainly don't have your FACTS straight! All you have to do is ask Russ, I have talked to him about P.M.'s and bans. Perhaps if you didn't take yourself so seriously, you'd listen to what is going on around you.
Today I removed VR AWAY. It's my b day. And then I see this boob rattling off as usual about stuff he knows nothing about. FYI many have been banned over the years for sharing PMs. I understand this dolt has the reading comprehension of an amoeba, but it's there in plain simple English.
Post, email or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threat ...[text shortened]... w?
Answer because you'd have to permanently pipe down as you don't know anything.
VR AWAY back on.

@very-rusty saidI have always assumed that the content of a PM (irrespective of what it contained) should not be shared publically without the permission of the sender. That's why it's called a private message.
Kevin,
P.M.'s are shared have been in the past. There is really no rule against it, but Russ would sooner the P.M.'s were kept that way and not shared. Of course no personal information can be given out as that would be against the TOS Guidelines.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidYou are correct as far as I am concerned, and in chatting with Russ, he told me he would like that P.M.'s be kept just that, but not actually a rule about it. Of course if there is personal information in it as Gamby pointed out then the person could receive a ban. Russ told me not to put anything in a P.M. or e-mail that I wouldn't want shared. I've done that since day 1 anyways as I don't trust many people, just my nature. So everyone is actually in agreement, it is just you can NOT repeat person information from a P.M., unless other wise stated by that person from my understanding of what Russ said.

I have no idea who all these people Gambrel is talking about, only one I ever saw get a ban was Grampy Bobby back in the day for saying something a Moderator had said to him in a P.M.. I call them the wild west days! 🙂 Gambrel is certainly more than welcome to share others he 'claims' to know about. We can never assume anything I had also assumed a P.M. was just that.

@very-rusty saidI see it as a matter that concerns you and the person you exchange information with, nobody else unless shared in a forum too. It has to do with trust.

@torunn saidIt does have to do with trust, and as I said Russ told me he would rather people didn't repeat what told in a P.M., but not rule against it unless personal info is given out. So one has to be careful what you say in a P.M. as it turns out it may not be one.

@very-rusty saidI have been very personal with some of the players here but not the kind of information that could compromise me - most things happen to many people, not just me.

@torunn saidYou probably trusted for good reason the players you chatted with. I can't see you giving information that would compromise yourself.

@very-rusty saidYes, I have and if that information is passed on to other people, I don't know about it. 🙂

@very-rusty saidIf anybody shared one of my PMs I'd eat their liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidJust don't say anything you wouldn't want anyone to know is about all you can do.

Hard to eat anyone's liver when you have no idea where they live. 🙂

@the-gravedigger saidDidn't I once PM you sir to say I was going to eat your liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti?
The only PM's I normally receive is from posters telling me I have behaved like a swine towards them in the GF.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidGhost, you say that to everyone - shouldn't you try a new menu? 🙂
