I see, then other bumps in the road stopping you from traveling. Hope it isn't health related.

@great-big-stees saidSpeaking of meet-ups, there have been several back in the early days, and there used to be a collection of pictures that were taken at them.
A number at a meet up in Rhode Island
The pictures were all posted online and there were links available on the RHP site. There were two or three held in England, two in Ireland, and two in Rhode Island, if I remember correctly.
The two in Rhode Island were at the home of one of the members, and the ones in Ireland and England were held at pubs. There were a large collection of pictures from these events which included names and comments, and it looked like a great time was had by all who showed up!
I don't know what happened to them and I'm not sure of who actually owns those pictures and might still have them stored or available. Maybe Russ would know.
Also, I don't think the Rhode Island pictures were linked from the RHP site, so perhaps they were just posted elsewhere by someone who was actually there, and they furnished the link.
And besides the pictures from these meet-ups, there also used to be a website that had pictures of numerous members, and it was called "RHP Faces". I think that one was made available from a member residing in South Africa, and they had a website for their regular business, and made the 'Faces' available on that website, providing a link. That link is also removed by whoever was sponsering the website.
Oops! Looks like I'm writing a book here. 🙂
Here are the links for the 5 meetups that were held in England and Ireland.
They used to be listed here under Site Map/Community.

There were also some US meet ups; at least one at Phlabibit’s place in Rhode Island. There were some good photos of that one, lost somewhere on the interweb
@divegeester saidAgreed, there were some nice pictures taken at Phlabs first Barbeque. I don't think many of the 2nd one were shown. If they were I didn't see them.

Play with the link below for a while and you can see a variety of 'snapshots' of our website taken over a large range of years, all the way back to a few in 2001. There you will see what RHP looked like back then, and surprisingly, some of the links on the pages they captured still work. Some don't.

The meet-ups for England and Ireland were all available to look over several years ago, as the links were posted under the Site Map link that is at the bottom of the page. The meet-up link is no longer shown there, but by using the 'wayback machine' link above, I was able to dig them out and was surprised to see that they still work.
The meet-ups in the US were not included with the England/Ireland ones. They were probably linked seperately using the forum at the time they took place.
@very-rusty saidHey VR, do you happen to know when the meet-ups at Phlabibit's place took place?

I remember seeing the pictures, but don't remember exactly when. I know Great Big Stees attended at least one of them. Anyway, I think they had them two years in a row, and then that was it.
They were probably uploaded to someones personal website for a while, then taken down.
@mwmiller saidThere were very good photos at Phlabibit's place with Stees, Andy with wife, and I believe Busygirl and Sunburnt and some more but I can't recollect their names.

@divegeester saidJust as well. The biggest member of the chess gang would have got duffed up. 😉 😛
VR famously declined to attend despite the event taking place a relatively short distance from where he lives in NS.
@mwmiller saidThis was sometime ago now when Phlabs was on the site and shortly before he left if he left and didn't take another name, one never really knows.

At that point in time I wasn't getting along with several members of RHP so decided in my best interest not to go. I probably would have wound up in an American Jail back then....LOL.... All water under the bridge, and no one got duffed up as t-g said and trust me when I tell you it wouldn't have been me. 🙂

@divegeester saidIt was not a short distance from N.S. learn some Geography gooster. If you were going to be there, I would have went even if I did wind up in an American Jail!!! 😛 🙂 Man it would have been worth it.

@Very-Rusty
I was hoping you could narrow the time down to maybe a year and month, but thanks for the reply! 🙂 Maybe GBS will know, since he was there.
