To be clear he use the word "apology" and then proceed to write a very long post justifying himself. So it was not an apology it was a "yes but".

Yes and I frequently call him out for it and for being boring. He and I had a lengthy exchange a few months ago. You probably missed it as you were writing your exit eulogy at the time .
