Posts and threads are not removed because people get offended, they are removed because they break the terms of service and are deemed unfit to remain on the site. While Grampy Bobby's posts were deeply offensive, they were removed primarily because he had broken the terms of service, not because I alerted them. I would have thought someone with you length of membership here would have realised this.
I'm guessing it was removed because the mod wanted to stop your whinging at him. How many alerts did it take? Did you spam him over it the way you spammed the forums about it?
"Deeply offensive". Yeah.
Pine Cones Thread 121177 (Page 2)
Perhaps some page one internet bulletin board threads
occasionally assume a few marginal human attributes
as they wait with ceremonious impatience for validation,
as if a postman may deliver an unexpected perfumed gift
or some invincible puppy love phone will finally ring.
Those on page two and beyond accept their altered status
and understand that going well behind all known moons
in an orbit equating with benign, if not merciful, neglect
is nothing more or less than the essence of the scheme.
Somewhere in a slightly less fictitious corner of the planet
a sheaf of ancient love letters smiles comfortably numb,
unaware of being relegated to the top drawer of a dust
laden bureau in a lakefront summer cabin, where a white
boat with blue trim is innocently dry-docked and the casual
stillness broken only by reluctant pine cones still falling.

If "A problem with the internet is that it is made up of people with differing standards, morals and tolerances" is, in your view, a 'great observation', why didn't you ponder it in 2015 before you started all those haranguing threads reprimanding unnamed community members for their "differing standards, morals and tolerances"? Treat others as you would be happy for them to treat you. That's what I do. Perhaps you should too.

Really? Really?
Originally posted by SuzianneWell I'm not accusing people like you, robbie carrobie and Grampy Bobby of stuff like being potential rapists, rape apologists, racists, misogynists, pathological liars or functional illiterates, so I don't see the parallel. As for seeking to piss certain people off and inflate ones ego, these motivations could just as easily ~ and aptly ~ be attributed to you, robbie carrobie and Grampy Bobby and explain a high proportion of your posts. So I don't think your "Same exact M.O. [as Duchess64]" notion, applied to just me and not also to the likes of you, holds much in the way of water. It sounds a bit like something you have just blurted out without much thought in an effort to score a point.
And you are like the Duchess64 of the General Forum.
You never say anything to anyone unless you just want to piss them off and inflate your own ego. Same exact M.O.
Originally posted by SuzianneYou got it all wrong, FMF really is just a pleasant happy go lucky fellow, just here to talk turkey and is not really a dour faced contentious megalomaniac who constantly berates other people. I have no problem whatsoever with you choosing to berate me in return or your own efforts to police the forum. It is of course your right and the right of any member of this community to confront others about what they say and how they behave.

Memo to My Almost Friends Around the Globe:
If my dear parents had been residents of a geographic location within Great Britain at the time their eldest son had been born, his Red Hot Pawn "Self Proclaimed Title" may have been GB and his "Location" would also have been GB. So be thankful he was born in New England, otherwise each of you would have not one but two GBs to contend with on this internet public forum. On a serious note, I would like to propose a long overdue truce with each of the intended recipients of this invitation. Please reply with a simply "Yes" if you've accepted this invitation or a "No" if you've decided to decline this invitation without disclosing the personal reasons for your decision. My thanks in advance to those of you who decide to become an online Friend. ~Bob
