Do you mean, they lose a certain amount of time for fighting? If so then yes, they spend 5 minutes in the penalty box. But both teams suffer that penalty so neither team gets an advantage.

I did pretty good, I just heard it when sensei was counting.
He must have had OCD, he loved to count reps. 😞

It was fun studying Shotokan and MDK at the same time and learning the japanese name and korean names for the same move and keeping them straight. As for counting, I think it was standard in all of them to yell on the 5 count.

I wish I had a dollar for everytime I was on the recieving end of one of those knife edge kicks. I think he was as fast as Wallace whith his feet. I remember sparring him once (he talked me into to after a ski accident he had the prior weekend) and he planted a text book perfect roundhouse kick into my chest that I didn't see or feel until his foot was back on the ground. I had him for german and anthropology too. One of the pluses of Karate lessons at his house was that Anna was a sun worshiper and in a skimmpy bikini most of the summer. Was hard to keep one's mind on class.
