Chapter 24: As soon as she left the Due Drop Inn with her Gucci purse sitting on the bar a patron sitting two stools over slid towards it slipping it into their Columbia backpack. Sitting in one of the womens stalls in the downstairs washroom the "thief" texted that she had the "prize" asking if they wanted her to peruse the contents of her daytimer.

Chapter 25:
Sonny's Hardware Store closed most but not all traditional holidays and for two weeks in November to visit their aging parents for Thanksgiving. Her's lived on a modest size dairy farm in a green valley in Vermont. Award Winning White Cheddar was their commercial speciality. His resided comfortably at an assisted living apartment complex in Western Massachusetts. Both children loved the thrill and efficiency of jet travel. They took turns sitting on the window side seats, during the flight, to shoot photos nearly 180 degrees out their first class cabin window. Unusual cloud formations, specks of cities and towns appeared briefly as the big bird swept past. Both took copious notes, as they tracked the trip from flight maps, which were then helpful in annotating their annual photo albums. They took great care with the entire project, tucking inscribed copies to each of their parents in with packages of other goodies for Christmas Day.

It was when Sonny, being of an advanced age, realized that Thanksgiving was actually celebrated in October not Novemember, that he was actually a Canadian from the border of Quebec and New Brunswick and not an American from Maine, decided that White Cheddar had to take a back seat to a really good Blue cheese, something with bite and not something that was as bland as a cheddar (mild, medium or old).

Not since the "Doomsday Initiative" had the citizens of Somewhere, USA been in such an indignant collective uproar. Seems a fourteen year old boy visiting his aunt and uncle during Christmas Break was summarily arrested at the county airport while boarding his return flight and placed in the local jailhouse to await the shearing of his fashionable dreadlocks.

It was a dark and stormy night. The cauldron boiled, the ravens cawed, the dog howled.
"Time for dinner children," yelled the little old grandma with the six yellowing teeth and the odd shaped mass on her belly.
The mass that looked strikingly like the shape of Hansel's head. She burped saying, "Mmmmm!! I do so like the taste of a youngun. Perhaps tomorrow I'll try "the other". "
